Everyday Hero Australia: Rock Property Freedom Ride or Run 2012

Freedom Ride or Run is a challenge both in terms of completing the event and raising funds for Live Free Tassie to provide residential recovery opportunities for addicted young people. The historical ride from Port Arthur (a place of bondage) to Hobart (a place of freedom) is symbolic of the addict’s journey from their bondage to a place of Freedom.

• I understand that participation in this event involves riding / running on public roads / tracks that will not be closed to the public and will be used by general traffic and other cyclists and I am aware of the potential hazards involved in this event. • I am of sufficient riding / running skill & competence to enter the event • Cyclist bicycles must be in sound mechanical condition • I am in good health and am not aware of any medical conditions that would affect my, or others, safety • I agree to abide by Tasmanian road rules and direction given by police or event organizers • I acknowledge that video / film footage / still images maybe taken and that these images maybe used by Live Free Tassie and event sponsors for event promotion and publicity purposes and consent to that usage. • I agree to wear the ride / run identification clothing, either a jersey or a vest as provided • Participants under 16 must have parental consent to enter • I acknowledge that disorderly or unsafe conduct will result in my expulsion from the ride or run • I release and indemnify all persons or corporations associated directly or indirectly with the event from liability, claims and costs whether in negligence or otherwise with the participation of myself or my child in this event.
