Ride for a Reason.
24th of March 2018
Welcome to the Freedom Ride
The Freedom Ride is a community based family oriented bike ride to raise important funds for our organisation. The ride will be held on Saturday, 24 March 2018 and will start from Blackmans Bay Beach, in the Kingborough area, just south of Hobart. This year there will be three rides plus the opportunity for families and non-bike riding supporters to participate by seeking donations per kilometre walked.
In the event of unsafe weather conditions the ride may need to be cancelled. In the event of cancellation, participants will be notified by a text message to the phone number provided at registration. Our Facebook page will also publish regular updates so we recommend following us there to stay connected.
About Pathways Tasmania
Pathways Tasmania offers several programs aimed at helping some of the most vulnerable people in our society. These include a shelter for homeless young men and a 12 month residential drug rehabilitation program for men. In addition this year we are excited to announce that we will be opening a women’s drug and alcohol rehab centre (the only one of its kind in Tasmania). For more information about Pathways Tasmania visit our website at pathwaystas.org.au.
Information on the Ride
This year there are two 100km rides, a 20km ride and a variable length walk. Follow the menu links above to find out more information about the ride. In particular we have a Course Info page and a FAQ.
Help make a difference in the lives of our young men.
The Freedom Ride is an annual charity event that assists in raising funds for Pathways Tasmania and their many initiatives which aim to empower young men to live free of addiction, homelessness and associated issues.
