Unfortunately we will be cancelling this year’s annual Freedom Ride. It’s unfortunate for a whole range of reasons, but we can’t afford to be irresponsible to our community. The Freedom Ride is about bringing hope. Hope for those suffering from homelessness. Hope for those trapped in addictions. If we were to proceed this year we run the risk of it bringing just the opposite, and we are not willing to accept that.
If you have signed up for this year’s ride we will happily count your registration towards our next event. If you would instead like a refund, please email Matthew Devenish at [email protected] with your name and bank details and he will get you sorted.
Finally, if you were considering making a donation towards us please continue to do so! Now more than ever we need your help. Cancelling this event leaves us with the possibility of being short of the funds we need to meet our operational needs. Can you help us to make sure this is not the case? You can still make your tax deductible donations at www.freedomride.org.au or at www.pathwaystas.org.au.
Thank you for ongoing support of the vital work that we do.

Welcome to the Freedom Ride
The Freedom Ride is a community based family oriented bike ride to raise important funds for our organisation. The ride will be held on Saturday, 18 April 2020. This year there will be three rides plus a family event for non-riders to support us.
About Pathways Tasmania
Pathways Tasmania offers several programs aimed at helping some of the most vulnerable people in our society. These include a shelter for homeless young men and a 12 month residential drug rehabilitation program for men and women. For more information about Pathways Tasmania visit our website at pathwaystas.org.au.
Information on the Ride
This year there is a 100km ride, a 43km ride (The Marathon Ride), a 20km ride and a family event. Follow the menu links above to find out more information about the ride. In particular we have a Course Info page and a FAQ.
In the event of unsafe weather conditions the ride may need to be cancelled. In the event of cancellation, participants will be notified by a text message to the phone number provided at registration. Our Facebook page will also publish regular updates so we recommend following us there to stay connected.
